At St John’s, we are proud to be a Church of England Primary School, with strong and meaningful links to St John the Baptist Church. This valued partnership enriches our spiritual life and helps us live out our core values of courage, compassion, and creativity in all that we do.

We are also fortunate to welcome members of the church into school each week to lead our collective worship, offering children the opportunity to reflect, celebrate, and grow in their faith and understanding.

Another highlight of our collective worship calendar is the Open the Book assemblies, where members of the Waltham Chase Methodist Church bring Bible stories to life through engaging drama and storytelling.

We are also fortunate to have our Year 6 children take part in the Leavers’ Service at Portsmouth Cathedral each year. This special event brings together pupils from Church schools across the region to engage in a shared project and celebrate the important milestone of transitioning from primary education. It’s a meaningful opportunity for reflection, connection, and celebration as they prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.
