Classroom in the Clouds
Classroom in the Clouds – Our School Partnership
Classroom in the Clouds is a charity based in Nepal that supports children in accessing education. Their work includes building classrooms, sponsoring staff to further their professional development, providing menstrual health training and products to empower girls to stay in school, and ensuring access to clean water and toilet facilities.
Since 2021, our school has proudly supported Classroom in the Clouds through an annual charity week held each spring. All proceeds go directly to the charity, with activities such as “Name the Bear,” “Guess the Sweets in the Jar,” and non-uniform days helping to raise both funds and awareness.
We’ve also had the privilege of welcoming the charity’s founder and visiting teachers from Nepal in several of those years. During their visits, they’ve observed lessons to support their own professional development, met with our Charity Council, and led assemblies to share the inspiring work they’re doing to improve the lives of children in Nepal.
In addition, our pupils and families have donated Duplo and Mega Bloks, which have been taken to Nepal and used in classrooms to support early learning.
This is a cause our children feel deeply connected to and have chosen to support year after year. We’ve also embedded links to Nepal within our Geography curriculum, helping pupils develop a deeper understanding of global citizenship and the power of education to change lives.
