Safeguarding

We take Safeguarding very seriously at SJTB.  Part of our core purpose is to keep all members of our school community safe, and feeling safe.  It's really important that this is part of our school culture and that everyone fully understands their role in safeguarding themselves and others.  If anyone has a concern, whether is a child or an adult, they know what to do about it and who to tell.

Please see our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies in the policy section of this website.  The documents below may also be of help.

If you would like to speak to someone at either school about Safeguarding, our Designated Safeguarding Leads are, Mrs Livings, Mrs Reilly and Mrs Mullen.

Please see here for our policies, including Child Protection and Safeguarding.

Our Safeguarding Learning

Across every year group we teach the children how to keep themselves safe, for example:

  • Through our PDL and PSHE curriculum
  • We regularly invite visitors into school such as the Police, the Fire Service, School Nursing Team and Mental Health Support Team
  • We have focus days and theme weeks including: Anti-Bullying Week, Internet Safety Day and Children's Mental Health Week
  • We follow the NSPCC Safeguarding programmes – Speak Out, Stay Safe, and talk PANTS
  • Safeguarding posters are displayed throughout our school
What Parents Can Do If You Have A Concern
